Nepal tourism board in its efforts to revive Nepals' largest industry and employment generator, “Tourism” has declared to celebrate and promote 2011 as Visit Nepal and Nepal Tourism year respectively.

In the first week of May 2010, the Tibet Tourism Bureau and China Air will be launching the first test flight to Shiquanhe, with the aim of opening western Tibet to schedule flights. Once the test flight is underway, Tibet tourism bureau and China Air plan on launching once a week scheduled flights to this region from 2011 onwards.
