Day 1: Kathmandu
Arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan airport to be met by our welcoming staff and transfer to hotel. Afternoon at leisure. (D)
Day 2: Excursions
Today we take a leisure tour of the twin cities (formerly kingdoms) of Bhaktapur and Patan. Later in the afternoon, we will explore the Old Durbar and back streets of Kathmandu valley. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Syangboche
After a leisure breakfast, we will explore Katmandu ’s other heritage sites of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath stupa and Swoyambhunath stupa. In the afternoon we take our chartered flight to Syangboche via Lukla’s Sir Edmund Hillary airport. We relax and take in the mountain views / sunset from the luxurious comforts of our mountain resort.
Optional:
If we are ready for it we can take a short walk to the nearby Sherpa village to get up close and personal with the mountain people and their culture. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Nagarkot
After a leisure breakfast, we take our chartered helicopter sightseeing tour of Mt. Everest and her surrounding peaks and then continue our flight to Nagarkot, a hill station in the vicinity of Kathmandu for lunch under the watchful eyes of the mountain deities.
After a relaxing lunch, we drive overland back to Kathmandu taking in the sights enroute. The afternoon is at leisure to wander on your own and do some souvenir hunting. Later in the evening, we will partake in a traditional Newar (original inhabitants of the Kathmandu valley) dinner combined with a cultural show. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Pokhara
After a leisure breakfast head to the helipad for our chartered helicopter flight to “Fishtail Resort, situated on a small island on the side of the Phewa tal ( Lake ), of Pokhara. Time at leisure. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Excursion and free time
Pokhara does not have many monumental sights like Kathmandu does, but is more a place to unwind and relax. Take a picnic basket to the inner shore / beach of the lake on a boat, and while away time with an invigorating swim, fishing (for those who prefer it) or just sun bathing under a magnificent 150 km panorama of mountain scenery. Day 7: Chitwan
After leisure breakfast head to the helipad for our chartered helicopter flight to “Tiger Tops Resort” situated in the heart of the Chitwan National park . Home to the wild and elusive Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, jaguar, one horned rhino and over 420 species of birdlife. After a traditional welcome and familiarization program of the park and it environs, we start our jungle safari on elephant back. (B, L, D)
Day 8:Jungle activities
Breakfast and exciting jungle activities in chase of the Royal Bengal Tiger and other game. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Kathmandu
Morning more jungle activities or time to relax and take in the surroundings and after lunch transfer to airport for our flight back to Kathmandu . (B, L, D)
Day 10: Departure transfer
After breakfast transfer to airport for your flight back home. (B) |
