Day 1: GOA
Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Goa is renowned for its beaches. The capital, Panjim, is a delightful city, filled with Portuguese architecture and lovely old churches. (B)
Day 2: BADAMI
Transfer to Badami. Set in a dramatic natural setting in a gorge between two red hills with a fort perched upon each one, Badami is an ancient city with several Hindu temples. (B)
Day 3: BADAMI
A full free day. (B)
Day 4: BADAMI - HAMPI
Visit to the fascinating temples at Aihole and Pattadakal. In the afternoon transfer to Hospet. (B)
Day 5: HAMPI
Full day to explore Hampi. In the 16th century it was the capital of the Vijayanagar empire, and nearly all of south India was ruled from here. (B)
Day 6: DANDELI
Drive to Dandeli and enjoy an excursion through this wildlife sanctuary, with opportunities to see elephants, deer and perhaps leopards. (B, D)
Day 7: GOA
Optional white water rafting on the Kali river. After lunch return to Goa . (B, L)
Day 8: GOA
Transfer to airport for your onward flight. (B) |
