South Indian Highlights - 15 days
Kerala house boats

This leisure journey through Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka encompasses all the highlights of South India.

The beach side retreat of Mamallapuram is our initial base and from here we explore the historic 'French' town of Pondicherry and the temple cities of Tanjore, Trichy and Madurai.

Next is the lush tropical land of Kerala with wildlife and palm-fringed Backwaters and the harbour city of Cochin, with its diverse architectural and religious influences.

From here we travel to the tea growing areas, the typical British hill-station of Ooty and the palace city of Mysore. Our journey finally culminates in the former colonial centre of Chennai ( Madras ).
