Dagla mountain range divides two prominent valleys of Thimphu and Wangdi.

The altitude of the plateau is around 4000 meters. It has many lakes of different sizes and in most lakes one can find trout fish, alpine flowers, rhododendrons, different species of pheasants, and musk deer are also found in abundance. The plateau is also a grazing ground for yaks in summer.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Paro. Overnight at hotel. (D)
Day 2: Guided sightseeing tour of Paro. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Drive Paro to Thimphu . Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Guided sightseeing tour of Thimphu . Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Drive to Simtokha and trek to Talekha for 4 hours. Camp near Talekha Lhakhang. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Ascend to jezela (4000m) & descend to Japhuna (3800m). Trek duration 06 hours. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Trek through rhododendron forests & small lakes. Camp at Jadhuna (4100 m). Duration 4 hrs. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Ascend to Jomigue pass (4460m) and descend to Labatma. Camp at Yumtsa. Duration 4 hrs. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Day excursions to Hetso-Hentso lake, Jmatso and Relitso lakes. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Excursion to Jamo peak (5050m) and return to camp. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Rest day (B, L, D)
Day 12: After crossing Pagalaptsa pass (4170m) descend through rhododendron and thick oak forest to Genekha. Trek duration 6 to 7 hours. (B, L, D)
Day 13: Descend to Chakilo (2 hours) and drive to Paro. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 14: Day trip to Tiger Nest (Takstang Monastery). (B, L, D)
Day 15: Departure from Paro. (B)
