Parts of this trek follows the old route between Paro and Thimpu, crossing the chain of mountains that separates the two valleys.
The route is sparsely inhabited (by nomadic yak herders) but there are wonderful lakes teeming with fish and the area is known for spectacular rhododendron forests, which bloom in April & May.
In the clear of late autumn and winter, great views of the Himalayas are seen as the most part of this trek is along the ridge. |

Day 1: Arrive in Paro. You will be met at the airport by our representative & transfer to your hotel. (D)
Day 2: Guided sightseeing tour of Paro. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Trek begins from paro. Trek to Jele Dzong. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Trek to Jimilangtsho. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Trek to Phajoding. (B, L, D)
Day 6: End trek at Thimpu & transfer to your hotel. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Guided sightseeing tour of Thimpu. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Transfer to airport for your departure. (B) |
