This tour provides a wonderful opportunity for those interested in focusing on the cultures and lifestyles of the Bhutanese people. The itinerary listed below has been designed with the above in mind. They all offer an insight and understanding at a leisurely pace into what are some of the most fascinating and unique areas of the World.
For your convenience, these tours (fly in) can begin from Kathmandu , Bangkok, Delhi, Kolkatta, and Dhaka or from Rangoon where Druk Air (The Royal Bhutan Airline) operates its flights. But, the majority of our tours commence from Kathmandu. |

Day 1: Bhutan
Fly to Paro. You will be met at the airport and transferred to hotel. In hotel, there will be an orientation talk and film about Bhutan , then rest of the day free on your own. (D)
Day 2: Paro Sightseeing tour
Full day guided sightseeing of Paro including Ta Dzong, Rimpung Dzong, Drikgyal Dzong and other historical monuments. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Taktsang Monastery
Morning, excursion to Taktsang Monastery, which is an important pilgrim site of Bhutan . Taktsang means 'Tiger's Nest'. It clings to a sheer cliff 900m above the valley floor. You will have lunch at Taktsang Jakhang. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Thimpu
Morning, drive to Thimpu. Visit Simtokha Dzong, a strategic fort built in 1627, the National Library and the seat of the Bhutanese King, Tashichhi Dzong. (B, L, D)
Day 05: Thimpu / Punakha valley
A 2 and half hour drive will take you to Punakha, an ancient capital of Punakha. After visit Punakha, drive to Wangdi. Overnight at Wangdi guesthouse. (B, L, D)
Day 6: Thongsa
Morning, visit Wangdiphodrang Dzong then drive over the beautiful Pele- La. Continue to Tongsa, which means 'the new village'. (B, L, D)
Day 7: Thongsa / Jakar via Chimu valley
After visit most impressive Tongsa Dzong of Bhutan with its major temples. Drive to Jakar via Chimu valley to get a close look of Bhutanese daily life. Arrive at Jakar. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Jakar / Bumthang valley
A full day excursion of Bumthang Chhukhor valley with its Dzongs, temples and monuments. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Bumthang / Trongsa
Visit Chume Tragar Naktsang and Domkhar Tashchholing Palace before driving to Tongsa. Afternoon: sightseeing in Tongsa and Ta Dzong. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Trongsa / Thimpu
Morning, drive to Thimpu with enjoying the unique landscape of Bhutan . (B, L, D)
Day 11: Thimpu sightseeing tour
A full day to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Thimpu. Visit the memorial Chorten, local market and handicraft center. Late afternoon drive to Paro. (B, L, D)
Day 12: Departure
Morning transfer to airport for your departure. (B) |
